There will be an illustrated talk by Henry Grace about Old Tring at 7:30pm on Friday 27 September 2019 in the Wingrave Community Centre, Church Street, HP22 3PE
All are welcome. Entry is free to members of the Heritage Association, but there is a charge of £4 for visitors, payable at the door. The Community Centre bar will be open.
Our speaker, Henry Grace, is a member of the long-established Grace family of Tring who were farmers, millers & corn merchants going back to 1766.
One of Henry’s ancestors enjoyed the hobby of photography and towards the end of the nineteenth century he prepared an impressive collection of “Magic Lantern” slides which he showed to the public.
The 120 year old Lantern & slides survived and will be used by Henry Grace to illustrate his fascinating and humorous talk.
